Behold the PseudoSnake!

Tonatiuh fights the night
Tonatiuh (happy guy in the lower left with the fancy weapons) is the god of the sun. He’s the supreme warrior who engages the forces of the night in daily combat. However, the night (pissed guy in the middle) is not really excited about this ongoing ritual. “C’mon! You again? Fuck…”

Hoboken Monkey Man
This is my interpretation of the Hoboken Monkey Man. A creature that supposed to freak out kids and students in Hoboken (N.J.) in the early 80’s. It’s said that this beast, half-monkey, half-man was spotted in the streets and in school hallways terrorizing people.
I submitted this piece for an open call from Jacob Covey for the second volume of his great Beasts! Book, published by fantagraphics. Unfortunately there were about 200 contributions from outstanding artists all over the world and mine wasn’t picked. But no need to cry! It was a good opportunity to work on this subject, that came up my mind every now and then.
